Layer v3 is the current public release track. Active work is focused on making the public site, docs, downloads, screenshots, and release notes match the actual operating system instead of mockups or unsupported claims.
The public site now carries the same black/orange terminal identity as the OS, including real screenshots, unified nav, shared footer links, and a working Layer v3 download path.
Document the install flow in plain language: pre-flight, location, keyboard, disk target, user profile, loadout, bundles, features, add-ons, deploy review, install, and complete.
Explain Kesk Kickoff, the real Plasma bottom panel, launcher pins, reset helpers, and how Quickshell HUD styling works alongside Plasma desktop behavior.
Make each release page describe what changed in the ISO, what users should test, checksums, known limits, and install guidance.
Keep a current visual archive for desktop, launcher, terminal, browser selection, bundle selection, login, lock, splash, and first boot.
Refine browser choices, optional bundles, feature toggles, and add-ons so the installer feels intentional without becoming confusing.
Improve first boot consistency: panel state, launcher path, browser start page, terminal defaults, wallpaper, and branded login/lock surfaces.
Build practical pages for USB boot issues, VM setup, checksum verification, installer failures, display problems, and panel/launcher resets.
Grow the status page from a static panel into a clearer website/download/release health surface if the project needs it.
Keep older Layer v1/v2/v3 artifacts, notes, install docs, and checksums easy to find without crowding the current download path.
These stay off the public promise list until they are backed by the project: immutable OS model, enterprise certification, guaranteed privacy/hardening, universal hardware compatibility, and offline availability for every optional package.
A roadmap item is complete when the ISO behavior, website copy, screenshots, docs, and release notes all describe the same real feature. The goal is not only to build the thing, but to make it understandable.
